Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble

I participated in the Hero Arts 90 minute scramble yesterday, and the challenge was to use Distress Inks. It was super fun, and this is what I came up with.

Distress Inks: Dusty Concord, Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar

 and Tumbled Glass

I first clear embossed the Classic Fabric Design before I added different colors of Distress Inks. Lastly, I stamped the Envelope Pattern over the whole design in one of the darker colors.

It was so much fun to see which new colors I created where the inks overlap each other.

Which one is your favorite? I can't make up my mind.. ;-)

Birthday card

Hi everyone,

Just want to share a quick birthday card with you. I have quite a few border set, but have hardly used them, so I thought it was time.

I stamped the border three times on the left side of the card and then I added the sentiment. Done! :-) The card is very simple, but I still like. Great if you need a birthday card last minute.

Baby card

Hi there,

When I'm making baby cards, I like to take inspiration from the announcement card. I thought it was so funny when we received this card (the right one), because I thought a lot of Hero Arts stamps were very similar to the images on it. So, I made the card on the left, and you can see a lot of similar flowers on the two cards. :-)

I also scanned and cut out the little heart with the name and lady bug and added it to the card with pop dots. I made a mistake when stamping the flower all the way to the right, so I stamped it again, cut it out and popped it up too. Since I now had two elements popped, I had to add one more, so one little heart is also popped up.

This card was a lot of fun to make with all the stamping, and I would probably not have made a card like this without the inspiration from the announcement card.

Sympathy card

Hello,

I made this sympathy card by first embossing the flower-frame image in silver. Then I stamped the Friend Definition on top, cut out the shape and adhered it on a light gray card. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and embossed with dark gray.

Get Well Soon

Hi everyone,

My father-in-law has cancer, and he just had an operation to remove it. He's recovering and doing well. I made this card for him to wish him a speedy recovery.

On a dark blue card, I stamped the Large Flower three times in Versamark, rotating the image for every time I stamped it. Then I white embossed the flowers. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white paper, distressed the edges with the same ink and adhered it to the card with dimensional adhesive.

I'm very happy with how it turned out. :-)

My father-in-law liked the card very much, and he was very curious as to how I had made it. If I had made it on the computer and printed it out, or if I had to line up all the letters for the sentiment. ;-)

Leaves

Good morning,

I hope you are doing well today!

This card was for my father-in-law who just turned 70. It's always a bit tricky to make cards for men, but leaves and green fits well, I think.

I started by stamping the leaves randomly on a pieces of green card stock with Versamarkand and clear embossed. The Friend Definition is stamped in Vintage Photo Distress Ink, with some of the ink removed in some places. The same ink is also around the edges. The green piece was then attached to a white card.
The sentiment is stamped on the same green card stock in Versamark and white embossed. The edges are distressed with Vintage Photo before I matted on white card stock and then attached it to the card with dimensional adhesive.
