Quick Christmas card

This Christmas card was super quick and easy to make. Still, I really like how it turned out. I stamped the tree and the greeting in Versamark and heat embossed in white on dark green card stock.

World Card Making Day Challenge

I made these two cards for the Hero Arts' World Card Making Day Challenge earlier this month. The challenge was to use your favorite colors, and blue and purple are two of my favorites.

For the first one, I used the Thank You Flourishes set. I stamped the flourishes in a lovely soft blue on a piece of card stock that I cut into four squares. Then, I matted with a blue card stock that matched the ink. It's a very simple design, but I really like how it turned out.

The second card is a purple winter card. The colors are a little different than on the picture, they are more alike than it looks like here. The background is made using the snow flakes from the Warmest Winter Wishes set. The Winter Wonderland stamp is by Inkadinkado and is put on the card with pop dots to create some dimension, with a strip of ribbon underneath.

My first baby card

I just want to share with you the first baby card I made. I've personalized the card by stamping the name of the baby inside the mobile. It was quite tricky to mask off the "it's a baby" that is originally there, but I got it after a few tries.

Quick and easy birthday card

I came across this color cue challenge at the WPlus9 blog, and I loved the color combination. So I decided to make a quick card. The only thing is that I didn't have time to take a picture of my card before the deadline, so I couldn't participate in the challenge. But I still wanted to share the card with you.

I had a scrap piece of white card stock that was already cut to the hight of the card, so I decided to stamp the flower stamps on it in coral making a background. I stamped Birthday Wishes with brown ink and put a brown scrap piece of paper behind. The sentiment is placed on the card with pop dots, creating some dimension.

Thinking of you

This is a card I created for my mom. We live quite far away from each other, and I wanted to send her a card to let her know that I was thinking of her. My mom loves purple and everything that has to do with nature, so I thought this card would be perfect for her.

I first cut the three little squares and stamped a different butterfly from the Designer Butterflies set on each of them. Then I placed the squares with pop dots on a purple scrap piece of paper, and finally I stamped the sentiment underneath.

Stamps: Hero Arts CL115 Designer Butterflies, Hero Arts CL140 Thinking of You Messages
Ink: Colorbox chalk ink Lavender, Warm Violet and Wisteria

Flourishes

I made this card a little while ago, and it is perfect for this week's One-Layer Wednesday challenge to use flourishes. On this card I have used one of my favorite flourishes stamp from Hero Arts.

I started by embossing the sentiment, using clear embossing ink and white embossing powder. Then I stamped the Heart Flourish around it in purple. Right below the sentiment I stamped a heart from the Love Flourish set. It is a little bigger than the hearts in the Heart Flourish.

For the sentiment, I used four different Hero Arts stamps to get exactly the message that I wanted. You can probably guess who this card is for... Yes, again it is for my boyfriend. I really like hearts (and him), so I love making cards for him. :-)
