Thinking of You

Hi everyone,

A little while ago I saw a tutorial by Mary Dawn from My Pink Mexico to make little felt flowers (click here to go to the tutorial). I absolutely loved the idea and finally tried it for myself! :-)

I made three flowers in different colors. The white flower is a little bit bigger than the other two. The card base got some lovely texture by white embossing the Lattice Background. I stamped and heat embossed the label and sentiment as well and adhered all the pieces to the card.

The cards I send are usually not this bulky, so I hope it survives in the mail! This card is actually on its way to my mom right now, so I hope she doesn't read this blog post before it arrives! :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Have a lovely evening! :-)

Hugs,
Tone

Three Yellow Cards

Hi there,

Hope your weekend was lovely!

I was in a yellow mood the other day and ended up making three yellow cards! One birthday card and two thank you cards.

For the birthday card I inked the Large Blossom with Versamark, the Old Letter Writing with Pumice Stone Distress Ink, kissed the two stamps and clear embossed on Hero Arts Daffodil layering paper.
The result was not as I had hoped, with the embossed part not showing up very well. So I used my Ink Blending Tool to add more Pumice Stone over the image to make it stand out more.
In the end I'm really happy with how it turned out! :-)

On the background of this card, I stamped the flowery border from the Garden Borders set several times with Malted Milk ink. The rose image, frame and sentiment are all stamped with Versafine black ink and clear embossed . This way it was easier to add color to the images. I used a water brush and distress inks for the coloring.

On the last card, I stamped the Leaf and Floral Background in Soft Sand Shadow Ink and inked the edges with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. The frame is stamped in Wet Cement Mid-Tone ink and the sentiment is heat embossed with Zing Charcoal embossing powder. This powder is a bit difficult to use because little particles always sticks to the paper.

I think my favorite is the birthday card. Which is your favorite of the three?

Hugs,
Tone
