Good Friends are the Best!

Hi there!

How are you today?

It's been a while since I last posted a card, so it was about time, I thought! :-)

I started by stamping the script on my card base and distressing the edges. For the stamped panel, I made my own patterned paper by randomly stamping the little flowers from the Hexagons set in different colors of Hero Arts shadow inks. The edges are distressed slightly to match with the card base. Lastly, I stamped the frame and the sentiment and added it to the card with pop dots.

The font of this sentiment is absolutely fabulous! I love it! All the sentiments in the Good Friends stamp set have this font, and the set is an absolute must have! :-)

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Love,
Tone

Elegant Anniversary Card

Hello hello!

Today's card was for a colleague of mine. He wanted to give his wife a special card for their anniversary, and they both really liked the card I made! :-)

This is a larger card: 5.5 by 8.5 inches (one piece of card stock folded in half). I first stamped and heat embossed the Heart Flourish several times, then stamped the script in white over it and distressed the edges with white. The butterflies are stamped in Dusty Concord Distress Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Smokey Gray and also clear embossed. Lastly, I added all the pieces to the stamped panel and adhered that to the card front.

Here is a close up for you, so you can see the lovely dimension of the butterflies better.

Thank you so much for visiting! :-)

Have a wonderful day!

Love,
Tone

Stamped Notebook with Washi Tape

Hello!

Please check out my huge giveaway below to celebrate the introduction of my new shop WashiTapesNL! :-)

Today, I'm sharing this kraft notebook that I made for my mom. It's super easy to make and the result is wonderful!

How to make it
Stamp the Old Letter Writing in white ink on the outside of the notebook. Love the look of white stamping on kraft! Then, tape the Purple Starburst Washi Tape diagonally and wrap the edges around. You can hide the washi tape ends by covering the inside with card stock. Your notebook is now ready to be given to someone special!

Thank you so much for visiting! :-)

Have a lovely day,
Tone

Season's Greetings

Hi there,

[I'm currently having a little giveaway, please go and check it out here! :-)]

I hope you're having a wonderful start to your weekend! :-)

Mine got kicked off by a scramble over at the Hero Arts Flickr Group. Janet's scramble was to include a tag on our card. I made a card that looks like a little package.

The snowflakes are stamped in Picket Fence Distress Stain and the tag is in Evergreen Bough Distress Ink. I wrapped the twine with the tag around the stamped panel and adhered the panel to the card base with pop dots. Quick and easy! :-)

Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
Tone

Hero Arts Scramble

Today's scramble was all about making your own sentiment or mixing and matching sentiments. I went for the mixing and matching.

I first stamped the birthday stamp from Untitled Word Shadow in Hero Arts Cup O' Joe Ink. When it was dry, I inked up only the second part of the "Warm Wishes" sentiment from Frames and Messages in Memories White Ink. The background is also stamped in Memories White Ink on kraft. I love the soft look this gives! I added some string to anchor the sentiment and adhered both the kraft piece and the sentiment with pop dots.

Thank you for stopping by today! :-)

Hugs,
Tone

Hero Arts Scramble

Today's 90 minute Hero Arts scramble was to make a card for yourself, using your favorites and having fun! I had some new stamps that I was dying to ink up, so this challenge was just perfect! :-)

Here is the card I made:

I used some of my favorites right now: new stamps, butterflies, script, kraft, teal and small square cards.

This little CAS card with it's huge butterfly simply makes me happy!

Hope you like it as well! :-)

Thank You, Hero Arts!

I am so happy because I just received the price for my March Fresh Face win! In addition to the stamps I chose, they also sent me the 2012 catalog. Thank you so much, Hero Arts! :-)

The stamps are absolutely fantastic, and I just had to create a card with the Lattice Background right away! :-)

The heart and the background are stamped in Hero Arts Bubble Gum Mid-Tone Shadow Ink, while the sentiment and the Old Letter Writing are in Wet Cement.
