Three Yellow Cards

Hi there,

Hope your weekend was lovely!

I was in a yellow mood the other day and ended up making three yellow cards! One birthday card and two thank you cards.

For the birthday card I inked the Large Blossom with Versamark, the Old Letter Writing with Pumice Stone Distress Ink, kissed the two stamps and clear embossed on Hero Arts Daffodil layering paper.
The result was not as I had hoped, with the embossed part not showing up very well. So I used my Ink Blending Tool to add more Pumice Stone over the image to make it stand out more.
In the end I'm really happy with how it turned out! :-)

On the background of this card, I stamped the flowery border from the Garden Borders set several times with Malted Milk ink. The rose image, frame and sentiment are all stamped with Versafine black ink and clear embossed . This way it was easier to add color to the images. I used a water brush and distress inks for the coloring.

On the last card, I stamped the Leaf and Floral Background in Soft Sand Shadow Ink and inked the edges with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. The frame is stamped in Wet Cement Mid-Tone ink and the sentiment is heat embossed with Zing Charcoal embossing powder. This powder is a bit difficult to use because little particles always sticks to the paper.

I think my favorite is the birthday card. Which is your favorite of the three?

Hugs,
Tone

Thank You, Hero Arts!

I am so happy because I just received the price for my March Fresh Face win! In addition to the stamps I chose, they also sent me the 2012 catalog. Thank you so much, Hero Arts! :-)

The stamps are absolutely fantastic, and I just had to create a card with the Lattice Background right away! :-)

The heart and the background are stamped in Hero Arts Bubble Gum Mid-Tone Shadow Ink, while the sentiment and the Old Letter Writing are in Wet Cement.

Velveteen Stamping

When I saw Shari's new technique, Velveteen Stamping, I loved it immediately!

I first made this little card using the Woodgrain circle stamped in white with the Thanks circle stamped over it in Mid-Tone Cup O' Joe. I love how it looks!
For the background I stamped the Leaf and Floral Background in Mid-Tone Wet Cement.

Then I thought I would try the technique on kraft. This looks completely different, but I really like it.

The Flower Dot Pattern is stamped in white and the Speckled Ornament over that in Seedless Preserves Seasonal Distress Ink. I distress inked the edges with different colors of brown Distress Ink.
