Pastel Birthday Card

Hi there!

The inspiration for this card came from the The Play Date Cafe Challenge #149.

All the stamped images are white embossed. Love how delicate that looks! :-)

Here's a close-up:

This is the inspiration photo from The Play Date Cafe Challenge #149, and I'm entering the card into the challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! :-)

Hugs,

Fall Colors CAS Card

Hello!

How are you?

The scramble this weekend over at the Hero Arts' Flickr group was to use fall colors. That's not colors I usually pick myself, so it was definitely a challenge for me!
I really enjoyed making this card, because it seemed to just happen by itself! Love when that happens! :-)

Firstly, I white embossed the Vine Background on a scrap piece of paper. Then I applied different shades of yellow and orange Distress Inks with my Ink Blending Tool.
It needed a bit more interest, so I stamped the script over it in Frayed Burlap and inked the edges with the same color. I placed the stamped panel off center on the card with pop dots.

I was debating back and forth whether to add a sentiment. I have a Thanks stamp that goes vertically. But eventually I decided that I thought the card looked beautiful just the way it was, without a sentiment! :-)

What do you think about making cards without sentiments?

Hugs,
Tone

Quick and easy birthday card

I came across this color cue challenge at the WPlus9 blog, and I loved the color combination. So I decided to make a quick card. The only thing is that I didn't have time to take a picture of my card before the deadline, so I couldn't participate in the challenge. But I still wanted to share the card with you.

I had a scrap piece of white card stock that was already cut to the hight of the card, so I decided to stamp the flower stamps on it in coral making a background. I stamped Birthday Wishes with brown ink and put a brown scrap piece of paper behind. The sentiment is placed on the card with pop dots, creating some dimension.

Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts CL139 Birthday Messages, Panduro
Ink: ColorBox Chalk ink Rose Coral, ColorBox pigment ink Brown
Other: Pop dots
