Season's Greetings

Hi there,

[I'm currently having a little giveaway, please go and check it out here! :-)]

I hope you're having a wonderful start to your weekend! :-)

Mine got kicked off by a scramble over at the Hero Arts Flickr Group. Janet's scramble was to include a tag on our card. I made a card that looks like a little package.

The snowflakes are stamped in Picket Fence Distress Stain and the tag is in Evergreen Bough Distress Ink. I wrapped the twine with the tag around the stamped panel and adhered the panel to the card base with pop dots. Quick and easy! :-)

Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
Tone

Newspaper Birthday Owl

Hi!

I'm currently having a little giveaway on my blog, please go and check it out here! :-)

For this card I used some adorable newspaper stamps I received recently.

The color combo comes from the Hero Arts contest this month, using Tide Pool, Soft Granite and Wet Cement.

Most of the background is stamped in Soft Granite, while the ground part of the background, as well as the speech bubble, are in Wet Cement. The owl, the package and the sentiment are all stamped in Tide Pool, cut out and added to the card with pop dots.

I added some shading with Iced Spruce and Pumice Stone Distress Inks to define the edges and the ground more.

Hope you're having a lovely day! :-)

Hugs,
Tone

Elegant Snowflakes Card

Hi everyone,

My mom wanted Christmas cards with snowflakes this year, and this is one of the cards I made for her. The card took quite a bit of time to make because I had some troubles getting the squares spaced evenly, but I'm really happy with how it turned out! :-)

I started by stamping the background in Hero Arts Soft Sand Shadow Ink. Then, I stamped the solid snowflakes in Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks, cut them out and adhered them to the card with pop dots. Lastly, I added the sentiment.

I'm entering the card into the Hero Arts October contest.

Did you start on your Christmas cards already?

Hugs,
Tone

Masculine Black & White Love Card

Hi!

Today's card is a masculine "I love you" card that I made for my boyfriend. :-)

Before I started this card, I knew I wanted to used black & white and the Designer Woodgrain, since that's my boyfriend's favorite stamp. ;-) When I saw this fabulous card, I knew the background would be perfect for my card.

The Designer Woodgrain is clear embossed on black card stock. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx black and clear embossed it as well.

Tip: The Versafine ink stays wet just long enough to add embossing powder. You have to be quite quick, though! :-)

I white embossed the little open heart from the Year Round Sentiments set on black card stock and cut it out. The little white hearts are punched out and glued directly onto the background. To add some dimension to the card, I adhered the sentiment strip and the black heart with pop dots.

Thank you so much for visiting! :-)

Hugs,
Tone
