Wedding card

This is my second post for today, please scroll down for the first! 

A colleague of mine got married this Friday, and I made this card for the happy couple.

This card is bigger than a standard size card. The background was created by stamping two stamps from the Speckled Ornaments set and the Envelope Pattern in Soft Sand ink. The edges are distressed with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. The sentiment is stamped in Vintage Photo. I stamped the Fabulous Flourish in VersaMark on the kraft card stock and white embossed. I stamped the Envelope Pattern on the kraft as well for some texture, as well as distressing the edges with Vintage Photo. I matted on a white piece of card stock to match the white embossing, tied a ribbon around and attached to the card with pop dots.
It took a very long time to make, but I'm very happy with how it turned out! :-)

Get Well Soon

A friend of mine came to me and said: I've looked everywhere, but I can't find a card that I like. Could you make a card for me? Well, of course! :-) A friend of hers had hurt himself, so she wanted to send him a get well card. His favorite color is green, he's arty, an actor and he reads stories for kids. It took a while before everything fell into place, but this is what I came up with. My friend loved it. :-)

The background was created by stamping the Friend Definition and the Envelope Pattern in Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Then the Flourish Branch was clear embossed, and the text stamp from Mix and Match Elements white embossed. I also distressed the edges with Pumice Stone. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of paper, rounded two corners and attached with pop dots.

Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble

Hi everyone,

Hope you are having a nice Sunday!

I participated in the Hero Arts 90 minute scramble yesterday, and the challenge was to use Distress Inks. It was super fun, and this is what I came up with.

Distress Inks: Dusty Concord, Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar

 and Tumbled Glass

I first clear embossed the Classic Fabric Design before I added different colors of Distress Inks. Lastly, I stamped the Envelope Pattern over the whole design in one of the darker colors.

It was so much fun to see which new colors I created where the inks overlap each other.

Which one is your favorite? I can't make up my mind.. ;-)

Birthday card

Hi everyone,

Just want to share a quick birthday card with you. I have quite a few border set, but have hardly used them, so I thought it was time.

I stamped the border three times on the left side of the card and then I added the sentiment. Done! :-) The card is very simple, but I still like. Great if you need a birthday card last minute.

Baby card

Hi there,

When I'm making baby cards, I like to take inspiration from the announcement card. I thought it was so funny when we received this card (the right one), because I thought a lot of Hero Arts stamps were very similar to the images on it. So, I made the card on the left, and you can see a lot of similar flowers on the two cards. :-)

I also scanned and cut out the little heart with the name and lady bug and added it to the card with pop dots. I made a mistake when stamping the flower all the way to the right, so I stamped it again, cut it out and popped it up too. Since I now had two elements popped, I had to add one more, so one little heart is also popped up.

This card was a lot of fun to make with all the stamping, and I would probably not have made a card like this without the inspiration from the announcement card.
