Velveteen Stamping

When I saw Shari's new technique, Velveteen Stamping, I loved it immediately!

I first made this little card using the Woodgrain circle stamped in white with the Thanks circle stamped over it in Mid-Tone Cup O' Joe. I love how it looks!
For the background I stamped the Leaf and Floral Background in Mid-Tone Wet Cement.

Then I thought I would try the technique on kraft. This looks completely different, but I really like it.

The Flower Dot Pattern is stamped in white and the Speckled Ornament over that in Seedless Preserves Seasonal Distress Ink. I distress inked the edges with different colors of brown Distress Ink.

Warm Wishes Card Set

My mother needed some birthday cards, so I made this quick one layer card set for her.

I stamped the Three Ferns in four different colors, the sentiment in black and distressed the edges.

Here you can see the individual cards.

It's my birthday today

and I'm becoming...

...You guessed it: 30! ;-)

My boyfriend wanted me to make a card that he could give me for my birthday. As he put it: "I can buy a card, but it will never be as nice as you make yourself." :-)

How to: I first drew the number 30, cut it out, distressed the edges and stamped the houndstooth for some interest. Then I clear embossed the heart on the yellow paper, cut it out and distressed with black. The butterfly was stamped in black and cut out.
On the background I stamped flowers and hearts in a few different sizes to make my own patterned paper.
Lastly, I white embossed the sentiment, added the background to a white card base, adhered the cut out pieces with pop dots and drew the dashed line.

(Will update later with supplies)

Hugs & Kisses

Hello and Happy New Year!

I hope 2012 will be a wonderful and creative year for you!

This card I made quite a while ago for the Lily Pad sketch challenge, but I also wanted to share it here on the blog. This was the sketch:

And this is the card I created:

Firstly, I stamped the dots on a piece of kraft card stock, cut it into three strips and adhered them to the card. Then I stamped the heart from Always Hearts in Worn Lipstick, cut it out and added it with pop dots. Lastly, I put the sentiment from Many Hearts in the bottom right corner.

The card is so lovely in real life. :-)

Hugs and Kisses,
Tone

Butterfly Birthday Card

Hi hi,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I'm relaxing, making cards and tidying up the house. No other plans, and I'm enjoying it! :-)

The color inspiration for this card came from the sky here in Holland one evening. It went from pink to this really nice blue-gray color.

I started by stamping the Butterfly Wallpaper and clear embossing it. Then I added Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Weathered Wood distress ink over it. The text stamped in Pumice Stone is from Cloud 9. A scrip stamp from Hero Arts is very high on my wish list... ;-)
I did the same with the sentiment, stamped the Envelope Pattern over it, matted with white and added it to the card with pop dots.

I also decorated the inside of this card and the envelope with the butterfly stamp from the Butterflies and Lace set.  Here's a picture of the inside.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! :-)

Love, Tone
