Elegant Snowflakes Card

Hi everyone,

My mom wanted Christmas cards with snowflakes this year, and this is one of the cards I made for her. The card took quite a bit of time to make because I had some troubles getting the squares spaced evenly, but I'm really happy with how it turned out! :-)

I started by stamping the background in Hero Arts Soft Sand Shadow Ink. Then, I stamped the solid snowflakes in Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks, cut them out and adhered them to the card with pop dots. Lastly, I added the sentiment.

I'm entering the card into the Hero Arts October contest.

Did you start on your Christmas cards already?

Hugs,
Tone

Masculine Black & White Love Card

Hi!

Today's card is a masculine "I love you" card that I made for my boyfriend. :-)

Before I started this card, I knew I wanted to used black & white and the Designer Woodgrain, since that's my boyfriend's favorite stamp. ;-) When I saw this fabulous card, I knew the background would be perfect for my card.

The Designer Woodgrain is clear embossed on black card stock. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx black and clear embossed it as well.

Tip: The Versafine ink stays wet just long enough to add embossing powder. You have to be quite quick, though! :-)

I white embossed the little open heart from the Year Round Sentiments set on black card stock and cut it out. The little white hearts are punched out and glued directly onto the background. To add some dimension to the card, I adhered the sentiment strip and the black heart with pop dots.

Thank you so much for visiting! :-)

Hugs,
Tone

To celebrate I have this birthday card to share with you.

The Large Fabric Design is stamped in Hero Arts Soft Sand ink with Distress Inks around the edges. The flower is heat embossed twice and colored with purple Distress Inks.

What did you do to celebrate World Card Making Day? :-)
